Etech Attended the 2nd China International Private Equity Forum in Tianjin
On June 9th, led by Vice Chairman Daniel De Tour and the group EVP Yan Chen, Etech Securities platform team (including Joe Liu, Vice Chairman of Etech International, Inc.; Andy Zhang, President of Etech China Operation; Andy Xing, Senior Vice President of Etech China; Charles Yang, Senior Associate VP; and Gina Li, Senior Associate VP) attended the 2nd China International Private Equity Forum in Tianjin from June 9th to June 12th, 2008. The forum was approved by the State Council of China and co-sponsored by the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, the All China Federation of Industry & Commerce and the Association for Corporation Growth of the U. S.
In the afternoon of June 9th, Daniel, Yan and Joe were invited to attend a VIP-only reception, and a welcome dinner held by Tianjin Municipal Government. Secretary Zhang Gaoli, Mayor Huang Xingguo, Vice Mayor Yang Dongliang, Cui Jindu, and other Tianjin government officials were present in the event. Daniel had an extensive communication with other VIPs seated at the mayor’s guest table. Among those guests were government officials, foreign PE elites (such as ACG President Harris Smith and CEO Bradley J. Hughes), and domestic PE pioneers (such as Wu Shangzhi, the founder of CDH Fund).
In the morning of June 10th, Daniel was honored to be invited and seated on the stage with selected VIP guests (government officials, representatives of top financial institutions and diamond sponsors) in the forum opening ceremony. In the afternoon, Daniel gave a speech on “Private Equity as Financing Alternative and the Role of Financial Advisors” in Etech’s sub-forum. His speech received much attention and positive feedback.
On the day of June11th, with Yan’s arrangement and interpretation, Daniel gave an on- site interview to a reporter from China Capital Column of Phoenix TV. He first introduced Etech as a U.S.-registered and based securities firm and its capabilities for serving clients. Then he stressed Etech’s ability to provide PE investment services for Chinese enterprises and his confidence about Chinese economy. He expressed his wishes for Etech’s growth in China at the same pace as the development of Chinese economy growth, and determination for helping Chinese enterprises in capital markets. The reporter raised many questions during the interview, such as “the acceptance of Chinese economic environment and Chinese enterprises in the U.S capital market ”, “how to deal with culture differences and team localization when an overseas investment bank serves domestic enterprises,” and “ Etech’s recent business plan and strategies in China”. Daniel offered the reporter and Chinese viewers very satisfying answers to those questions.

Through the three-day forum, Etech’s team had made extensive communications and exchanges with more than 200 companies, PE funds and intermediaries. Through conference, panels and dinners, Etech also obtained the latest industry trends and policy information from government officials, scholars and peers, such as RMB PE funds in China.

其他主席台就座的各位领导、美国企业成长协会主席哈里斯〃史密斯、首席执行官布
莱德利〃休斯、副主席丹尼斯〃怀特等外国嘉宾以及鼎晖投资创始人吴尚志等其他
知名金融机构代表进行了广泛而充分的交流。
6月10日，大会开幕式上，丹尼尔.帝图先生代表亿泰证券作为贵宾被邀请到主席台
就坐，与20多位政府领导、顶级金融机构代表和钻石赞助商代表共同见证大会开幕
