Etech Sponsored Wu Family painting exhibition 2007

The opening ceremony was attended by lots of diplomats and celebrities. Etech Securities’ chairman & CEO Jay Liang expressed his admiration for the role that the Wu family has played in carrying forward Chinese culture at the beginning of opening ceremony. The Wu family is one of the most prominent in China's cultural scene. This week a fine art exhibition opened at the P.D.B International Auction LLC in Los Angeles in which all the works on display were by artists from the House of Wu. The Los Angeles exhibition presents nearly a hundred works of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. Spanning a century, they are the work of three generations of the Wu family. From the collapse of the Qing Dynasty in 1911, the House of Wu exerted an enduring influence on the Chinese culture. Wu Ying converted the Forbidden City into the Palace Museum, and was an accomplished fine artist. His son, Wu Zuguang was a playwright of towering stature, whose wife Xin Fengxia was a renowned diva of Pingju Opera. And grandson, Wu Huan is renowned for his originality as both in print and on canvas.

洛杉矶成功舉办。当天许多洛杉矶各界的知名人士出席了開幕式。亿泰證券总
裁梁捷扬先生对吴氏对中国文化所做出的贡献表示赞賞。这次画展展出了吴氏
叁代吴景洲﹝吴瀛﹞先生、吴祖光先生、新凤霞女士、吴欢先生之书画精品。

吴欢先生为著名作家、书画家、全国政协委员。有”京城才子” 、”香江神
笔”之称。齐白石老人当年以”吴欢无不欢 ”为其赐名。他兼小说、戏剧、政
论、诗词、书法、绘画于一身，名扬华人社会。吴欢先生出自世代书香世家，
其祖父吴景洲﹝吴瀛﹞先生为故宫博物院创始人之一，善诗文书画，名重当
时。其父吴祖光先生 17 岁﹝1935 年﹞即名震文坛，有”神童剧作家”之称。
主要代表作有《风雪夜归人》、《花为媒》、《吴祖光文集》等。曾任中国剧
协副主席、全国政协委员。其母新凤霞是我国著名评剧表演艺术大师、作家、
画家、全国政协委员：国画大师齐白石先生之入室弟子。自创评剧”新派” 。
主要新派戏剧代表作有《花为媒》、《刘巧儿》、《祥林嫂》等。
