On February 1st, 2007, partnering with Leman Brothers, Etech Securities, Inc. sponsored the annual Economic and Investments Forecast dinner hosted by CFA Society of Los Angeles at the Wilshire Grand Hotel - Downtown Los Angeles. Dinner was followed by panel discussion.
Etech was invited to the private reception with Abby Joseph Cohen, the chief US investment strategist for Global Investment Research. She serves on the firm’s Partnership Committee and the Investment Retirement Committee, and on the board of Pine Street, which is charged with management and leadership development. She joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 having specialized in quantitative strategy and economics at other major financial firms. Abby began her career as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC. Etech President and CEO Jay Liang and Abby Joseph Cohen exchanged views and discussed regarding to global economy and investment outlook. The panel discussion Dinner also featured John Baylor, former Under Secretary of Treasury, Donald Straiszheim, Former Chief Economist of Merrill Lynch, and Paul McCulley, Managing Partner of PIMCO.
